ACCESS AROUND THE SITE:
The festival is held at Park Farm Showfield in Dumfries. The land is farm land with grass but is relatively flat. There are a number of gravel roads running through the middle and across the Main Arena.
Please note: The weather conditions can dramatically affect the ground conditions, so wherever possible please try to consider what preparations you may need to make and equipment you may need to bring along.
A viewing platform with a stewarded accessible toilet is located near the stage in the Main Arena.
There will be a stewarded accessible toilet located beside the viewing platform in the Main Arena. There will also be other non-stewarded accessible toilets in the Main Arena.
We welcome assistance animals onto the site. There will be an area provided for toileting and drinking.
There will be general warning signs around the Main Arena if strobe lighting will be used. Due to the nature of the artists it is likely that strobe lighting will be used throughout the performances. There will not be a warning immediately before a period of strobe lighting.
MEDICAL & WELFARE SERVICES
There will be a First Aid and Welfare tent located in the Main Arena that will be easily visible. There will also be Medics and First Aiders on patrol around the event.
FULLY ACCESSIBLE CHANGING FACILITIES
we’re bringing the first Scottish Mobile Changing Places toilet – the pamiloo – to Youth Beatz. Previously, people with complex needs may have been limited in their participation at the event due to the lack of appropriate toilets. The Pamiloo provides specialist equipment and additional space and should make Youth Beatz 2018 an event for anyone.
If you need to visit the box office on arrival then there will be a hearing loop.
Once you get onto site there is a sensory area/quiet space next to the Health and Wellbeing area if you need a bit of space away from the hustle and bustle.
Blue Badge holders can apply for nearby site parking through the Youth Beatz website. youthbeatz.co.uk/coach-blue-badge-parking/
