FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR GROUPS, SCHOOLS AND YOUNG PEOPLE IN DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY

Fund Priorities & Outcomes

  • To create opportunities for young people aged 12-25 to take part in events and experiences during the Youth Beatz Fringe 2019
  • To support individuals and organisations across Dumfries and Galloway to develop their own event ideas

Health & Wellbeing – Young People have the chance to lead healthy, active lives and understand the importance of mental health & resilience

Equality & Discrimination – Recognition of the positive impact of young people in our communities and encourages them to take a lead in all forms of prejudice and discrimination

Culture – Showcase and celebrate young people’s talents and contribution to Scottish culture and arts

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Applications will be accepted from statutory bodies, schools, constituted organisations or applications made by individuals or groups who are supported by a constituted organisation that will be accountable for funds
  • Organisation has its own bank account (individuals may apply if they are supported by an organisation who can be accountable for funds)
  • In order to meet audit requirements all groups benefiting from funding will need to agree to provide invoices & receipts for all purchases and comply with monitoring and evaluation reporting at the end of the project
  • Planned activities take place between FRIDAY 15TH – FRIDAY 21ST JUNE 2019
  • Funding is used for the benefit of young people aged 12 – 25 years
  • Activities are free of charge for young people aged 12 – 25 years
  • Planned activity takes place within Dumfries and Galloway
  • Application meets the fund priorities
  • Application links to at least 1 theme
  • Applications will be assessed by the Youth Beatz Fringe Committee against the following: value for money &impact
  • Organisations applying for grants must have a child protection policy and relevant PVG checks for all staff & volunteers

PHOTOGRAPH / MEDIA REQUIRED:

  • All projects must provide a photograph to accompany their summary that will be used to promote their project via the fringe programme.
